NIGHTBREAKERS On Stage In Chapel Hill, NC
Social media has come a long way in allowing people to witness new and exciting music! That's exactly how I came across NIGHTBREAKERS. I was scrolling through TikTok one night when this video came up on my FYP. The music immediately caught my attention and I knew I needed to find out who this was. Turns out it was a band that stated themselves as "sad boys from the Sunshine State". I quickly found NIGHTBREAKERS on their socials and learned they would be coming to NC! I know as soon as I saw that NC date on their tour flyer I had to be at the show and luckily for me they agreed!
NIGHTBREAKERS are on tour with Starletta and their show at Local 506 in Chapel Hill, NC was supposed to be their third stop on this tour. Unfortunately, tragic events from Hurricane Helene struck and the first two stops of the tour were canceled. After being stuck in Asheville for a little bit everyone was able to safely get to Chapel Hill and get the tour started.
You could feel the crackle of energy as the guys made their way onto the stage to get their set started. Some fans had driven hours just to be able to see them! The set started strong with "Fake Smile" and instantly had everyone in the crowd moving to their melodic beats. Halfway through they surprised us all in the greatest way when they mixed their song "Close" into a cover of "Unwritten". It was such a smooth and lighthearted transition that it felt like the two songs were always supposed to be linked together. Not only is the music catchy and binge-worthy, but the lyrics are just as impactful as the beats accompanying them. The lyrics and harmonious music pair perfectly together to create an overall vibrancy of sound that gets everyone on their feet and rocking out until the very last notes of "Attention" were played. There are a few more shows left on this tour so if you can get out to catch one I highly suggest that you do! If not then you can listen to their discography on Spotify until the moment you're able to catch them live! With how remarkable they are I am sure they will be back on tour very soon!!
