Raleigh Enjoys a Night With Rock Legends Breaking Benjamin and Staind

Raleigh, North Carolina witnessed an evening of rock music at its finest on Saturday, September 21st when Staind, Breaking Benjamin, Daughtry, and Lakeview showcased powerful performances as they took the stage. Fans spent the night rocking out with an exhilarating mix of hard-hitting rock anthems and classic hits we all know and love and even some emotional ballads tied in. It was a night every rock fan wanted to be a part of and you could definitely tell by how packed Coastal Credit Union Music Park was from the minute the gates opened.

The night started off right when Lakeview commanded the stage with their blend of country rock. The second the band walked on the stage they instantly formed a connection with the audience that had everyone enthralled to be there. As an opening band, Lakeview did a remarkable job of preparing the crowd for the night. Playing a mix of their aggressive country rock hits like “Money Where Your Mouth Is” and fun covers like “Lips of an Angel”. The band left the crowd wanting more and salivating for the next band.

Keeping the energy revved up was North Carolina local Daughtry. The set had a rocky start with a few little sound issues that were quickly resolved and Daughtry was able to deliver an emotional set with the fans singing along word for word on every song. The unmistakable vocals of Chris Daughtry elevate the songs to bring them to life for the crowd. Interacting with the fans like they are family to him had everyone electrified with the passion that was conveyed on stage. The crowd was brought to life by the set and ready to keep on rocking with the bands that were to follow.

Continuing the night, Breaking Benjamin shocked us all when their white curtain fell and standing center stage was Benjamin Burnley’s son Ben, also known as Cheech. The intensity of the night was definitely cranked up when the band started their set. The raw emotion that was seen by both father and son throughout the whole set was a sight every person in attendance would talk about for years to come. Between the deafening cheers and vibrant singalong, there is no doubt how much this band is loved and respected in the rock world. Fans were primed and ready for the final set of the night after the energetic time they had with Breaking Benjamin.

Finally, the moment that the crowd had been begging for, Staind took the stage. With the drop of their curtain, the band was off to the races. Aaron Lewis’s raw and powerful voice cut across the venue and mesmerized the crowd and allowed everyone to sing with the band on every song. The energy was off the charts as Staind moved through their set, which had a mixture of their new songs and, of course, they could not leave out the classics the fans know so well. The audience was given exactly what they had come for, a hard-hitting rock experience. And I highly suggest that you catch one of the remaining tour dates for this tour. It is a show that you’ll always regret if you do not buy those tickets!
