Hooplas Release New Single "Happy Medium"

Have you ever been to a concert and fallen in love with an opening band? A band you had no idea was even in the line-up? A band that was supposed to be there to hype you up for the headlining band, but you leave as one of their biggest fans instead? I have! The Hooplas are that band for me! I decided one night to go check out a Puddle of Mudd show with The Hooplas as one of their openers and ended up creating one of the greatest friendships with the entire band! From the minute they took the stage that night I was captivated by their energy and sound. Two years later, I am still just as astonished by the songs they create as I was the first time I saw them perform.

The Hooplas are a band from Charleston SC, even though none of them are actually from Charleston! They describe themselves as a "no-pretense" rock band and supply their fans with high-energy rock music. With the liveliness they throw into everything they do, you'll never be bored when you listen to a Hooplas song! The newest song is no exception to that!

"Happy Medium" is one of those songs that grabs you from the first beat of bass and keeps you in sync until the final note has been stuck. Within thirty seconds I was hooked. It had everything I was looking for in an electric song! The first verse drove the song and had me itching to hear how powerful the chorus was going to be. Once that chorus came I was transported to another space with the raw emotion that was created by the combination of the lyrics and music. The song repeats similar verses but you are never left with a tedious sensation. "Happy Medium" delivers that high energy that The Hooplas are so well known for.

Not only has the band created a noteworthy single with the melody between the boomy bass, complex guitar riffs, and the resonance of the drums along with the lyrics grab your attention and hold you in the best of chokeholds. The lyrics speak on topics that most people choose not to even think about. However, when you dive into what is being said you see themes of how kids and adults are experiencing a blurred line in the world today because of mass media and social media. For a song to have these types of ponderous concepts and still be alluring, is a balance that is delicate and wonderfully done by this band! From production to songwriting to the overall craftsmanship, everything is tremendously well done. As a listener and fan of The Hooplas I cannot recommend enough that you go give them a follow and catch their new single on streaming services! I know you'll be hooked just like I was since that first day!
